“Kindness is central to all that we do and always will be – it's our watchword. We aim to be kind in all we do, not only to the animals who rely on us but to all the people who support us in so many ways.”

Fundraise

When you run a charity based 100% on donations, fundraising is the name of the game!

At BARKS, we’re not only on the look-out for generous volunteers to help at our regular fundraising dates; we also need creative bods to come up with and lead exciting new ideas for our small team to deliver. If you have professional event or marketing skills that’s all the better - it’s the purrfect way to feel good about your hard-won expertise!

In 2019 our novel fundraising projects included tote bags, antique valuations, upcycled curtains, cake baking and a village yard sale. From 2020, we aim to strengthen and streamline what we do. So get your thinking cap on!

Sponsor an animal

Sponsor an animal

Sadly, not all animals can be re-homed; but BARKS will never put a healthy animal to sleep. That’s why some animals become permanent residents at our BARKS care centres. With their long-term health conditions, these little fellows need extra special care and attention at a haven where they can spend the rest of their days warm and loved. To cover the costs of their care and treatment, they rely on sponsorship.
