If you’d like to help BARKS with a more “hands-on” approach, then why not consider becoming a part of our marvellous volunteer team. It’s a super way to get involved with animals and help a local charity. With lots of roles on offer - for any age and any skills or preferences - and a flexible schedule to suit your availability, there’s something everyone!

Types of volunteering roles:

  • Feeding and caring for small creatures - learning about their welfare
  • Cleaning out pens
  • Driving animals to and from the vet
  • Collecting animals who need help
  • Joining one or more of our regular fundraising stands at Banburyshire local collections, fetes and open days
  • Assessing and advising new adopting families via home check visits
  • Helping to develop our Membership offer
  • Getting involved in special marketing platforms or seasonal and one-off events
  • Join fundraising operations team
  • Run car boot sales or small individual events
  • Sponsored runs or other sponsored activities
