Max is one of our special BARKS cats in permanent foster care. Sadly, because of his individual needs, Max cannot be adopted and will rely on BARKS for love, safety, and medical support for the rest of his life.

But while Max’s future with us is secure, the cost of caring for him never stops.

From veterinary treatment and health checks to food, litter, and everyday essentials, Max depends entirely on the kindness of supporters to make sure he can live a comfortable, happy, and healthy life. That’s why we’re urgently looking for more sponsors to help cover his ongoing care.

🐾 Why some BARKS animals need sponsors

Some of the animals we rescue cannot be rehomed due to age, ongoing medical conditions, or behavioural needs. These animals remain either in our shelter or in dedicated long-term foster homes, where we promise to care for them for life.
