2020: Your Year to Volunteer?

Is 2020 your year to join the BARKS crew and give animals a second chance? We're keen to welcome volunteers who can offer regular support or take on a mini event or fundraising project. Doesn't have to be frequent, just regular and reliable.

As well as animal carers and Young BARKS, we need drivers, fosterers, in-store collectors, event-runners, fundraisers, supplies collectors, fete stall team members and many more. Behind the scenes and public-facing.

To boost our volunteer team, we're just about to be one of five Banburyshire charities selected to take part in a volunteer recruitment campaign locally - this will launch this spring by local recruitment business Cameo Consultancy https://www.cameoconsultancy.co.uk . The other four charities are Katharine House, the Horton Hospital, Dogs for Good and BHYP (Banbury Young Homeless Project). It could make a big difference to us, so we're putting lots of energy into making it a success.

But we don't have to wait till then - we can use more help any time - we have such a small band of people running BARKS and their time and skills stretch very wide.

If you think you might have skills or time you could give to help rescue and give new lives to animals, you can email Ann Collins at barks2010@hotmail.co.uk or call Chris Woodcock on 01295 670795.
